in this photo, their is a vent port which allows water to be dumped in the case of a
backflow or back-siphon situation. This vent and the two check valves are again
surrounded by the two butterfly style shut off valves (in the off position here). As
well, the device has the four test cocks which the certified tester uses to hook up
his gauge and test kit to ensure proper function of the vent, check valves and
shut off valves.
