Test Kit's and Gear
Our certified testers here at Power Jet Plumbing currently use the Watts TK-9A
test kit device manufactured to test BFP devices from 1/2" to 12". The device
uses a special constructed guage, which tells the technician the pressure
differential between the high (yellow) and low (White) zone hoses. The blue hose
test kit device manufactured to test BFP devices from 1/2" to 12". The device
uses a special constructed guage, which tells the technician the pressure
differential between the high (yellow) and low (White) zone hoses. The blue hose
pictured is used primarily to vent or bleed
the lines of air to ensure an accurate test.
With this device, the certified tester can
check each check valve, the entire BFP
assembly, the shut off valves individually if
they are holding closed or leaking as well
as if the vent on an RP device dumps at
the proper pressure differential. These
units can run anywhere from $999 CAD to
over $5000 CAD for computer sized test
kits.
